A Place to Remember
American Experience traveled to the Florida Everglades to interview the people who know the place best — members of the Seminole and Miccosukee Tribes. We wanted to learn about their families’ experiences in the swamp these many years. We spoke with them about surviving hurricanes and American soldiers, bingo and sovereignty, folktales and superstitions—and much more.
