2017 New England Emmy Award for Outstanding Interstitial & Webby Honoree
Until 1972, women weren’t allowed to compete in the Boston Marathon. Bobbi Gibb was the first woman to finish the race, after sneaking on to the course in 1966.
This video was one of 26.2 my team produced for WGBH News's coverage of the 2016 Boston Marathon.
